A brief overview:
The Senior Epic Analyst designs, configures, tests, and implements changes to assigned Epic system applications. They lead operational work groups, gather and analyze requirements, consult with Epic representatives, leadership, and subject‑matter experts, manage projects, support application upgrades, develop workflows, and provide end‑user adoption support.
- Lead needs assessment, software design, implementation, and support.
- Collaborate with reporting teams to gather requirements for operational partners.
- Facilitate design of workflows with subject‑matter experts to improve efficiencies and incorporate quality initiatives.
- Mentor analysts in design workflows and analysis.
- Lead functional and integrated testing, including development and validation of testing scripts.
- Define and develop user access security to protect the system while providing necessary access.
- Oversee, review, and release builds to production.
- Apply clinical or business knowledge to develop supporting workflows.
- Evaluate implementation of new technology to meet business needs.
- Provide IT support and expertise in operational meetings.
- Perform unit testing and assist other analysts as needed.
- Develop, modify, and maintain integrated testing scripts.
- Lead projects following the Enterprise Project Management Office framework, from scoping and design through implementation and transition to operations.
- Collaborate across teams to develop change management strategies and plans.
- Develop plans to address system change impacts.
- Support and troubleshoot interfaces for inbound/outbound transaction errors; monitor error queues.
- Troubleshoot application issues with or without vendor assistance; lead escalation to resolution.
- Lead application upgrade tasks and provide guidance to analysts and leadership.
- Provide 24/7 support on a scheduled and routine on‑call rotation.
- Maintain security for assigned applications and adhere to change control processes.
- Mentor and develop team members; instruct on design, configuration work, and assignments.
- Onboard and train new team members.
- Collaborate with clinicians and IT Epic team manager to develop policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain system documentation; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Guide team members on documentation standards and coordinate documentation efforts.
- Contribute to end‑user training materials and assist in training sessions.
- Train new members and coach junior team members with guidance and support.
- High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems / Business / Healthcare Related Field (Preferred)
- 4+ years designing, configuring, testing, and maintaining Epic applications (Required)
- 2+ years working in a healthcare related IT environment (Preferred)
- Epic Application Certification (Required)
- Resolute Professional Billing certification (Required)
Employment status: Direct Hire, 100% remote; must reside in a U.S. state approved by the client.
