Shakopee Public Schools is searching for a 1.0 FTE Special Education (SpEd) Long Term Substitute (LTS) to join the staff at Tokata Learning Center from approximately January 23, 2026 through March 13, 2026.

Deliver direct and indirect special education services to students in a resource room setting and/or co-taught classroom, monitor progress on IEP goals and objectives; follow due process and IEP procedures and manage the paperwork; communicate effectively with families and staff; develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans, direct the work of paraprofessionals(s).

• Current MN teaching licensure in EBD, SLD, ASD or ABS.
• NVCI (CPI) training preferred.
• Experience working with a variety of disabilities, and the ability to deliver specialized instruction to meet the individual needs of these students. Training for specific needs of the students in the program will be provided by the district.
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.

Salary ranges from $51,000 to $71,251 depending upon education level and experience.
