Shakopee Public Schools is searching for a 1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute (LTS) - Special Education Resource Teacher to join the team at Sun Path Elementary School. Approximate assignment start date January 5, 2026 through March 27th, 2026.
Job SummaryDeliver direct and indirect special education services to students in a resource room setting, monitor progress on IEP goals and objectives; follow due process and IEP procedures and manage the paperwork; communicate effectively with families and staff; develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans, direct the work of paraprofessional(s). Provides instruction in content area in accordance with each student's ability, creates a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth.
Establishes effective working relationships with students and parents, works collaboratively with other staff members.

Salary can range anywhere between $51,000 to $120,813 depending upon education level and experience.
