- Write PLC software from scratch for new automated equipment in Allen Bradley Studio 5000, using structured text and ladder logic
- Develop Python based control software on machines that run on Python
- Build and configure HMI screens (Pro Face) for machine operation and monitoring
- Program and tune servo motors, multi axis motion and Epson robots
- Integrate Keyence vision systems, sensors and IO into machine logic
- Create and modify electrical schematics, IO lists and panel layouts
- Lead factory acceptance testing, commissioning, code revisions and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with our mechanical and vision engineers through design reviews and whiteboard sessions
- Proven experience writing PLC code from a blank slate on new machines. Maintenance only backgrounds will not be a fit
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of hands on automation experience
- Strong Allen Bradley Studio 5000 experience. Beckhoff, Siemens or CODESYS backgrounds will also be considered
- Experience with HMI development, motion control and industrial robot programming
- Knowledge of industrial protocols such as Ether Net/IP, PROFINET, EtherCAT, Modbus and OPC UA
- Working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E and machine safety standards
- Python programming for machine control
- Pro Face HMI, Keyence vision or Epson robot experience
- CAD experience for electrical design (Solid Works preferred)
