Job DescriptionPark Nicollet is looking to hire LPNs and Medical Assistants to join our cardiology team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Utilizing broad-based skills in basic patient care, ancillary services, and business office practices, provides assistance to providers in accordance with PNHS standard and policies.
Patient population:
Patients traveling abroad needing counseling and vaccines.
- Assist with rooming patients
- Give vaccines
- Order and stock supplies
- Some scheduling responsibilities related to working on a waitlist
- M-F, weekdays only
- Eight hour shifts 8 am to 4:30 pm
We are open to filling this position with an LPN or MA. Requirements for each are outlined below:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing.
- Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
- Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by “The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).”
- Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
- Must meet one of the following:
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program or currently registered as a pharmacy technician with one or more years pharmacy technician experience
- Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current Minnesota EMT License
