General Production / Line Controller

A Line Controller at Anchor Glass’s Shakopee, MN plant will visually examine containers to ensure proper specifications. They will pack ware into containers if automatic equipment is not utilized, supply empty cartons, place filled cartons on conveyors, activate automatic machines, place ware off or on lines as necessary, unjam equipment such as conveying lines, inspection equipment and case packers as necessary, and prepare paperwork such as production tally sheets.

This position is essential to maintaining production line flow of conveying lines.

• Individuals will be trained Monday‑Friday 8 am‑4 pm and then assigned to a crew to work rotating shifts.
• Rotating shift work involves working 7 consecutive days of an 8 am‑4 pm shift followed by 3 days off, then 7 consecutive days of a 12 mid‑8 am shift followed by 2 days off, and then 7 consecutive days of a 4 pm‑12 mid shift followed by two days off. This amounts to working 21 days with 7 days off in a 28‑day cycle.
