We are growing and looking for a Landscape Designer to join our amazing team. Applicants must love working with people, be able to wear many hats in one day, be enthusiastic, and have excellent communication skills.
Reporting to the Director of Fine Gardening, the Property Manager is responsible for executing and coordinating all scheduled Fine Gardening work orders. The Property Manager also motivates and leads an efficient and productive crew while overseeing all activities on the job site and maintaining communication with the client.

- Manage and motivate people
- Demonstrate outstanding communication skills
- Know materials, methods, and skills used in various landscapes common to the Midwest region, including mowing
- Horticulture degree or one year of experience in Garden Management or related field
- Ability to proficiently operate various machinery
- Enforce good safety practices
- Have a good driving record
- Pass DOT drug screen
- Read, speak and understand English
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Remain standing or sitting for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height
- Ability to traverse over rough, uneven or rocky surfaces
- Carry out seasonal work orders based on contracted sale to include scheduled garden and lawn maintenance, annual container installation, holiday decorating, etc.
- Maintain client properties including gardens, ponds, lawns, hardscapes, containers, lighting, etc.
- Keep and maintain accurate records (time, materials used, design plan, receipts, etc.)
- Provide clients with exceptional customer service at all times
- Project work such as pruning, replacement planting and mulching
- Ability to read a landscape design and install small landscape projects
- Coordinate and install palm trees
- Maintain installed ponds, which includes pond start‑up and shut‑down, fish delivery and care as well as water plant delivery
- Ongoing training and supervision of gardeners
- Communicate and manage people diverse in language, ability, educational levels and experience
- Nursery care including pruning, organization, inventory, irrigation, etc.
- Upkeep of vehicles, tools, and equipment assigned to fine gardening crew
- Pay range depending on experience & qualifications
