Overview

GM and Food (General Merchandise, Closing, Fulfillment, Inbound, Food and Beverage, Starbucks) — Target. This role supports General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store through inbound, outbound, replenishment, promotional signing, inventory accuracy, and guest service to enable a consistent shopping experience.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to assist with their needs and solve specific issues.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
• Receive products, restock shelves, organize the backroom, arrange merchandise, and post promotional signs for GM areas.
• Operate power equipment if certified to move merchandise or fixtures.
• Execute pricing changes, merchandise setup and maintenance, and maintain inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to assist guests and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking/packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while complying with laws.
• Other duties as needed based on business needs.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders as required.
• Move merchandise up to 44 pounds; frequently lift or move items with or without assistance.
• Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance required.
• Work in varying temperatures and conditions; drive-up, carryout, etc., may be involved.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift.
