Heavy Equipment Auction Site Operations Coordinator

Location: Shakopee, MN

Altec is an industry leader in equipment sales and a subsidiary of JJ Kane, one of the nation’s premier auction houses. The Auction Site Operations Coordinator will work onsite at the Shakopee yard to support the day‑to‑day functions of our auction operations, ensuring smooth flows from consignor delivery through final sale and post‑sale support.

• Coordinate and manage all equipment deliveries from consignors and transporters; develop and maintain knowledge of commonly sold products.
• Handle operational issues such as photos, specifications, descriptions, and conditions; ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
• Capture high‑quality images and write accurate descriptions for all items sold from this site.
• Assist in approving items for auction listings and website publication.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for sellers, buyers, and transporters, resolving customer service issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist with item pick‑up after sale and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure all safety and environmental inspections are completed and processes adhered to in compliance with company standards and regulations.
• Travel required up to 25% of the time.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required; sales or business degrees preferred.
• Availability for overnight travel is required.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to develop solutions.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.
• Ability to independently manage time and tasks.
• Demonstrated customer and people skills.
• Capable of working effectively with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
