Radiologic Technologists are responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, acquire and analyze data for diagnosis, and independently perform or assist the licensed practitioner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure correct order, patient identification, and preparation for exam while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize patient safety.
• Prepare and/or administer medications through existing vascular access as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluate images for proper positioning and technical quality, verify archival storage or data transfer, and perform post‑processing if applicable.
• Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers.
• Assist the licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
• Perform diagnostic radiographic and non‑interpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed, including those outside the Radiology Department (e.g., operating room, endoscopy, ICU).

Position Details:

• New graduates must obtain an ARRT‑R registry within 6 months of hire.
• Applicants hired after March 10, 2024 must complete steps required for advancing to level 2 within 24 months.

Education: Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Radiologic Technology (required);
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 1 year related work experience (preferred).

Certification(s) and License(s): Basic Life Support Certification (Default Issuing Body);
Radiography (R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
