The successful candidate will deliver engaging and practical ICT lessons that develop students' digital literacy, computational thinking, problem-solving abilities and confidence in using technology creatively and responsibly. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience teaching Years 6 and 7 and understand the needs of students transitioning into middle school. The successful applicant will help students build a strong foundation in digital skills, programming, information literacy and responsible technology use, preparing them for the increasing demands of digital learning across the curriculum.
Position Requirements

work experience We are seeking a creative, adaptable and student-focused ICT teacher with strong subject knowledge and a passion for technology-enhanced learning. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching middle school students and be confident delivering practical lessons that develop digital competence, computational thinking and independent problem-solving. Priority will be given to candidates who can teach Years 6 and 7. Experience in a bilingual or international school environment would be advantageous.

- A degree in ICT, Computer Science, Educational Technology or a related discipline.
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE, QTS or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience teaching ICT or Computer Science at middle school or lower secondary level.
- Experience teaching Years 6 and 7 would be a significant advantage.
- Strong knowledge of digital literacy, programming, computational thinking and common educational technology tools.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that cater to students with different levels of prior experience.
- An understanding of online safety, digital citizenship, data privacy and responsible technology use.
- Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to collaborative working, professional development and student-centred learning.
- A commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing and inclusive educational practice.
