Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and company policies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Supervise and support a team of 2–3 accountants, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of work.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash flow management.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain strong internal controls.
• Perform financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting.
• Utilize ERP systems (SAP, SAGE, or similar) to maintain accurate financial records and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support business objectives and improve financial processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CMA or CPA preferred, MBA is a plus.
• Minimum 5‑7 years of progressive accounting experience in the UAE.
• Proficient in ERP system (e.g., SAP, SAGE).
• Team player with an ability to manage a team of 2–3 accountants.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP accounting principles and standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• UAE driving license and own vehicle preferred.
• Arabic speaker is a must.
