UAE National Document Controller
Job Description
Wood is recruiting a Graduate Document Controller (Emirati) for its UAE business unit. The role supports project teams by ensuring all project documents are accurately controlled, stored, distributed, and maintained in accordance with company and client procedures. The position is full‑time onsite in Sharjah, UAE.
Responsibilities- Assist with the registration, filing, and distribution of project documents in line with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing documentation.
- Ensure documents are correctly version‑controlled and archived.
- Support the setup and maintenance of project document registers.
- Support communication between project teams, vendors, and clients regarding documentation.
- Assist in tracking document status and following up on outstanding submissions.
- Support meeting documentation, including distribution of minutes and action lists.
- Upload, manage, and retrieve documents from the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
- Ensure all documentation complies with project quality and audit requirements.
- Assist with audits by providing requested documentation and records.
- Learn document control best practices, project workflows, and system usage.
- Actively seek feedback and demonstrate continuous improvement.
- Support project teams by ensuring all project documents are accurately controlled, stored, distributed, and maintained in accordance with company and client procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, IT or a related field.
- Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of experience (internship experience is an advantage).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Exposure to document management systems is an advantage but not required.
