Role
Purpose:
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) will be responsible for managing and coordinating all government-related activities, documentation and regulatory processes for the organisation. The role will ensure timely completion of visa, labour, licensing, immigration and other statutory requirements while maintaining strong relationships with relevant government authorities and external stakeholders.
The PRO will act as a key liaison between the company and government entities, ensuring all processes are completed accurately, efficiently and in compliance with applicable UAE regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process all government-related documentation and transactions for the company and its employees.
- Handle employee-related processes including employment visas, visa renewals, cancellations, labour permits, Emirates , medical fitness requirements and status changes
. - Coordinate with relevant authorities such as MOHRE, ICP, Immigration, Municipality, Economic Development authorities and other government entities as required.
- Manage company-related licensing, permit and registration requirements, including trade licence renewals, amendments and regulatory submissions
. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of visas, labour cards, permits, licences and other government documents.
- Monitor expiry dates and proactively initiate renewals to avoid penalties or operational disruptions.
- Support the onboarding and exit process by ensuring all government and immigration formalities are completed within required timelines.
- Liaise with government departments to resolve issues, follow up on applications and obtain necessary approvals.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with relevant government authorities and external service providers.
- Stay updated on changes in UAE labour, immigration and government regulations and communicate relevant updates internally.
- Ensure that all government-related activities comply with company policies and applicable legal requirements.
- Coordinate with Human Capital, Finance, Legal, Administration and other internal departments for documentation and approvals.
- Prepare and submit required letters, forms, applications and supporting documents to government entities.
- Manage document attestation, authentication and other official documentation processes where required.
- Support company vehicles, permits, establishment cards and other administrative government-related requirements where applicable.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of employee and company documentation.
- Prepare periodic status reports on pending, completed and upcoming government transactions.
- Identify process improvements to reduce turnaround time and improve efficiency of government-related services.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a PRO / Government Relations Officer within the UAE.
- Experience with in real estate, property development, construction or a related industry would be preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of UAE labour, immigration, visa and government procedures
. - Familiarity with government portals and systems including MOHRE, ICP and other relevant UAE government platforms
. - Good understanding of licensing, permit and company registration procedures.
- Strong relationships and familiarity with government departments in Sharjah and the wider UAE would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong command of Arabic and English
. - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously.
- Good administrative, documentation and follow-up skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
