Job Title:
Civil Foreman (Pipelines, Drainage & Road Works)
We are looking for a reliable, energetic Civil Foreman to lead our field crew on infrastructure projects. You will be directly on the front lines, leading from the front to install pipeline networks, sewerage, drainage, and execute road works.
This role is perfect for a skilled tradesperson who has stepped into leadership—someone who knows how to do the work, how to teach it, and how to motivate a crew to get it done safely and correctly every day.
What You’ll Do (Daily Responsibilities)- Direct Crew Leadership: Lead a dedicated crew of operators, pipelayers, and laborers. Set daily targets, assign tasks, and work alongside them to ensure progress.
- Pipeline & Utility Installation: Directly supervise the laying of sewerage, stormwater drainage, and pressure lines. Ensure correct line, grade, and bed preparation.
- Road Works Execution: Oversee earthworks, sub‑grade preparation, leveling, and asphalt laying, making sure all layers meet compaction and leveling specs.
- Hands‑on Quality Control: Read blueprints and survey stakes on the ground. Use levels and pipe lasers to ensure everything is installed exactly to plan, avoiding costly re‑work.
- Frontline Safety: Ensure the crew works safely every minute. Run morning toolbox talks, enforce PPE compliance, and strictly monitor trench safety (shoring/benching) during deep excavations.
- Timesheets & Materials: Keep track of your crew’s daily hours, equipment usage, and materials used, and report them to the site supervisor.
- Experience: 4–7 years of hands‑on experience in civil construction, with a heavy focus on pipe laying (sewerage/drainage) and asphalt road construction. At least 2 years in a stepping‑stone or crew‑leader role.
- A True Team Player: Great communication skills. You don't just give orders—you explain how to do things, support your team, and keep morale high even in tough weather or tight deadlines.
- Practical
Skills:
You know how to operate standard site tools, read civil drawings, set up pipe lasers, and understand soil/compaction basics. - Physical Grit: This is an active, outdoor field role. You will be on your feet, moving around the site, and driving the work alongside your team.
- Certifications: Valid driver's license. Confined space entry or basic first‑aid certifications are a major plus.
- Reliable, year‑round pipeline of projects.
- Health benefits, accommodation, transport.
- A direct path to advance into a General Foreman or Site Supervisor role as the company grows.
