Quantity Surveyor – Interior Design & Fit

The Quantity Surveyor – Fit‑Out coordinates all commercial and cost management activities for fit‑out projects from pre‑contract through final account. The role ensures accurate cost control, timely valuations, and commercial risk management.

• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts for fit‑out contracts.
• Conduct detailed material and labour takeoffs for joinery, gypsum, ceilings, flooring, painting, and FF&E.
• Prepare interim payment applications and subcontractor valuations.
• Negotiate and agree final accounts.
• Assess, value, and submit variation and change order claims to clients.
• Manage subcontractor variation accounts.
• Procure subcontractors and suppliers by preparing tender documents, analysing bids, and recommending awards.
• Monitor project cost performance against budget and prepare monthly cost reports with variance analysis.
• Review contracts and flag commercial risks to senior management.
• Maintain records of all commercial correspondence, instructions, and approvals.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (MRICS preferred).
• 3–10 years of QS experience in UAE/GCC interior design and fit‑out projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE fit‑out market rates, material costs, and subcontractor procurement.
• Proficiency in CostX, Candy, or equivalent estimating/QS software and MS Excel.
• Good knowledge of FIDIC and bespoke UAE fit‑out contract forms.
