The candidate should have a strong understanding of construction procurement processes and be experienced in the following:
- Planning and assessing material requirements in coordination with site teams, including quantities, specifications, and timelines
- Sourcing and evaluating suppliers, obtaining quotations (RFQs), and comparing vendors based on price, quality, and delivery
- Negotiating with suppliers on prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and agreements
- Preparing LPOs, uploading them into the system, and following up on order status and payment processes
- Preparing and organizing material lists received from site teams
- Managing supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and timely delivery
- Coordinating with inventory and site teams to maintain proper stock levels and avoid delays
- Monitoring costs and ensuring procurement activities remain within budget
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining proper documentation and reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant procurement software
