Mohamed Hilal Group is seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our Interior Fit‑Out Division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take‑offs, tender submissions, and project cost control for high‑end residential, commercial, and retail fit‑out projects. The role requires strong commercial awareness, technical expertise, and the ability to work closely with design, procurement, and project execution teams.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed BOQs (Bills of Quantities) based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Perform quantity take‑offs for joinery, civil, MEP, finishing, and interior fit‑out works.
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare competitive tender submissions within the required timelines.
- Analyze project costs and identify value engineering opportunities.
- Coordinate with the Design, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure cost‑effective project execution.
- Monitor project budgets, variations, and change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare cost comparison sheets and commercial evaluations.
- Assist in contract administration, payment applications, and final account settlements.
- Maintain an updated database of material costs, labour rates, and subcontractor pricing.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and industry standards.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in quantity surveying and estimation within the interior fit‑out industry
. - Proven experience working on luxury villas, retail outlets, hospitality, and commercial fit‑out projects
. - Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and interior finishing works.
- Experience in preparing BOQs, tender documents, and cost reports.
- Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contract administration is an advantage.
- Valid UAE driving licence is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with estimation and quantity surveying software.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
