Civil Site Engineer

Job brief

We are looking for an accountable Civil Site Engineer to be responsible for managing and supervising all civil works at the project site. The role involves day‑to‑day site management, technical supervision, and coordination with consultants and subcontractors. Ensuring that construction activities are carried out in line with approved drawings, specifications and project schedules while maintaining quality, safety and cost efficiency is a key focus.

• Plan, coordinate and supervise all civil construction activities at the site, including effective allocation and management of manpower, materials and equipment to ensure timely and quality execution.
• Oversee and ensure proper execution of shoring, dewatering, excavation and back filling operations.
• Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications, ensuring accurate implementation on site.
• Monitor the progress of work, manpower, materials and equipment usage, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and internal teams for approvals, inspections and day‑to‑day project requirements.
• Attend site and coordination meetings, prepare progress reports and highlight any issues or delays with proposed recovery plans.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability and delivery of materials and equipment.
• Prepare quantity take‑offs, bar‑bending schedules and material requisitions as required.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, inspection requests (WIR/MIR) and quality records.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved method statements, quality plans and safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and ensure high standards of workmanship and quality.
• Collaborate with planning and QA/QC teams to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project objectives.
• Communicate effectively with the project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3–6 years of working experience in the UAE/GCC in water/waste water infrastructure projects including pumping stations and treatment plants.
• Proven experience in RCC works, underground structures, shoring and dewatering.
• Familiarity with local authority standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office and MS Project/Primavera.
• Ability to work with multiple disciplines on projects.
• Valid UAE driving license.
• Good written and verbal communication in English & Hindi (Arabic preferred).
• Strong technical and site management skills.
