We are seeking an experienced Brownfield Planning Control Engineer to support project planning scheduling progress monitoring cost control execution planning and project controls for brownfield modification upgrade revamp shutdown turnaround debottlenecking tie-in and maintenance projects.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in Primavera P6 project scheduling baseline programmes WBS critical path analysis progress measurement look‑ahead planning resource loading manpower planning S-curves earned value management delay analysis schedule control cost control forecasting and project reporting Experience working within operating plants existing facilities live plants brownfield environments shutdowns turnarounds SIMOPS tie‑ins plant modifications and EPC projects is highly preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop maintain monitor and update detailed Brownfield Project Schedules using Primavera P6 Prepare the Baseline Programme Baseline Schedule in accordance with contract requirements project scope execution strategy milestones and client requirements Develop project WBS activity codes calendars logic links relationships constraints milestones and activity sequences Prepare Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 and Level 4 schedules according to project requirements Develop integrated schedules covering engineering procurement fabrication construction installation testing commissioning pre‑commissioning shutdown turnaround tie‑in and handover activities Prepare and maintain Master Schedule Detailed Schedule Integrated Project Schedule Construction Schedule Shutdown Schedule Turnaround Schedule Recovery Programme Catch‑Up Programme and Look‑Ahead Schedule Monitor actual progress against planned progress and baseline programme Track schedule variance progress variance milestone slippage critical activities float constraints and forecast completion dates Perform Critical Path Method CPM analysis and identify critical near‑critical and driving activities Monitor Total Float Free Float Negative Float Constraints Logic Relationships Milestones and Critical Path Update Primavera P6 schedules with actual start actual finish remaining duration physical progress activity status and forecast dates Collect progress data from Engineering Procurement Construction Fabrication Maintenance Shutdown Commissioning Vendors Subcontractors and Site Teams Establish appropriate progress measurement systems for engineering procurement fabrication construction installation testing and commissioning Develop progress weight ages activity weight ages quantity‑based progress milestone‑based progress earned progress and physical progress measurement systems Prepare Daily Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports Develop S‑Curves Progress Curves Manpower Histograms Productivity Reports KPI Dashboards Planned vs Actual Reports Variance Reports and Management Reports Monitor engineering progress procurement progress fabrication progress construction progress installation progress commissioning progress and overall project progress Prepare Weekly Look‑Ahead Plans and coordinate with construction and operations teams regarding upcoming activities Identify site constraints work‑front availability material availability permit requirements access restrictions operational constraints shutdown windows and SIMOPS requirements Coordinate shutdown and turnaround schedules including preparation execution reinstatement testing commissioning and start‑up activities Monitor tie‑in schedules isolation requirements permit‑to‑work activities work‑front readiness and shutdown milestones Coordinate with Construction Operations Maintenance HSE QA QC Engineering Procurement and Commissioning Teams to ensure schedule alignment Monitor SIMOPS Simultaneous Operations and identify schedule interfaces and execution conflicts Track interface activities between existing facilities new installations contractors subcontractors vendors and operations teams Monitor work‑front readiness and identify activities affected by drawings materials permits access scaffolding isolation equipment availability or site conditions Prepare constraint logs interface…
