A. Survey Planning and Project Control

  • Establish and maintain project survey control networks, reference points, and benchmarks.

  • Review approved project drawings, coordinates, levels, and survey data before commencing construction activities.

  • Develop and implement survey plans and schedules aligned with project requirements and construction programs.

  • Ensure all surveying activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable authority requirements.

  • Coordinate survey requirements with project engineers, construction teams, consultants, and subcontractors.

B. Setting-Out and Construction Surveying
  • Supervise and verify setting-out works for:

    • Roads and highways.

    • Interchanges and roundabouts.

    • Utility networks and corridors.

    • Drainage and stormwater systems.

    • Culverts and related structures.

    • Earthworks and pavement works.

    • Other associated infrastructure activities.

  • Verify road centerlines, horizontal and vertical alignments, elevations, profiles, and cross-sections.

  • Ensure survey data and setting-out information are accurate before construction activities commence.

  • Monitor survey operations throughout construction to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

  • Verify that completed works conform to approved drawings, levels, coordinates, and project specifications.

C. Topographic, Boundary, and As-Built Surveys
  • Conduct and supervise topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and site verification activities.

  • Prepare, review, and maintain accurate as-built survey records.

  • Verify completed infrastructure works and document actual site conditions.

  • Prepare survey reports and supporting documents for inspections, approvals, and project handover.

  • Maintain organized records of survey data, field notes, calculations, and related documentation.

D. Survey Team Supervision
  • Manage and supervise surveyors, assistant surveyors, and survey crews.

  • Assign daily responsibilities and allocate survey resources according to project priorities.

  • Monitor team productivity, work quality, and compliance with established procedures.

  • Train and mentor junior survey personnel on surveying techniques, equipment operation, and documentation requirements.

  • Ensure effective coordination among survey teams working across different project areas.

E. Survey Equipment and Technical Accuracy
  • Operate and oversee the use of:

    • Total Stations.

    • GPS/GNSS systems.

    • Digital Levels.

    • Surveying software and data-processing applications.

  • Review survey calculations, coordinate geometry, and field measurements.

  • Perform regular checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey equipment and survey data.

  • Ensure surveying instruments are properly maintained, calibrated, and suitable for project requirements.

  • Identify and report discrepancies affecting survey accuracy or construction compliance.

F. Measurements and Quantity Verification
  • Assist project teams with field measurements and quantity calculations.

  • Verify earthwork volumes, excavation quantities, and completed construction works.

  • Support engineering and commercial teams with survey information required for progress assessments and quantity verification.

  • Provide accurate survey data for inspections, payment applications, and project reporting.

G. Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
  • Ensure surveying activities comply with company quality, health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

  • Conduct survey operations safely within active construction zones and high-risk work areas.

  • Ensure survey personnel use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow approved safety requirements.

  • Support quality inspections, corrective actions, and project handover documentation.

  • Execute work that adheres to quality, health, safety, and environmental considerations, as well as commitment and excellence.

Desired Candidate Profile
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in land surveying.
