Estimator, Construction, Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

• Study tender documents drawings specifications and Bills of Quantities BOQ for landscaping projects
• Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials soft hard landscaping plants irrigation paving pergolas etc labor equipment and subcontractor costs
• Carry out site visits measurements when required to verify scope and quantities
• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for pricing accuracy
• Prepare BOQs and take-offs from architectural landscape drawings
• Analyze project specifications to identify potential risks value engineering opportunities and cost‑saving alternatives
• Compile and submit tender proposal documents within deadlines
• Coordinate with design procurement and site teams to ensure estimates align with actual project execution capability
• Maintain a database of historical costs supplier rates and market pricing trends
• Track and update estimates during project negotiation phases
• Support post‑award handover of estimated budgets to the project site team

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
• 2–5 years of estimating experience, ideally in landscaping, hardscaping, or related construction sectors
• UAE market experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of landscaping materials, methods, and market rates
• Proficiency in estimating/take-off software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar) and MS Excel
• Ability to read and interpret landscape architectural drawings and specifications
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good negotiation skills with suppliers and subcontractors
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tender deadline pressure
• Good communication skills for coordinating across departments
