JOB PURPOSE
To prepare accurate cost estimates, tender documents and bid packages for upcoming projects, working closely with the estimation and business development teams during the pre-contract stage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare detailed take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) from tender drawings and specifications.
- Develop cost estimates and pricing for tenders, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Analyze and compare subcontractor and supplier bids to support procurement decisions.
- Prepare tender submission documents, clarifications and qualifications.
- Coordinate with the business development team to track tender opportunities and deadlines.
- Support post-tender negotiations and handover of awarded projects to the contracts team.
- Maintain historical cost data and benchmarks to improve future estimating accuracy.
- 3+ years of pre-contracts / estimation experience within the UAE/GCC construction industry.
- Proficiency in take-offs, BOQ preparation and detailed cost analysis.
- Strong knowledge of tendering processes and subcontractor bid comparisons.
- Experience working with major contractors on large-scale building projects.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
