strong Site Foreman cum Engineer strong shall be responsible for both the technical supervision and hands‑on execution of daily site activities for the vacuum sewerage house connection works.
Key Responsibilities- Supervising and coordinating daily site activities trench excavation interlock removal GRP manhole placement uPVC pipe laying Qua Vac Vacuflow interface installation and back filling.
- Ensuring works are executed strictly as per approved shop drawings method statement and project specifications.
- Carrying out setting out levels and alignment checks for trenches chambers and pipework.
- Directly supervising labor gangs and equipment operators ensuring productivity and adherence to the program.
- Monitoring quality of workmanship at each stage sand bedding PCC bed GRP manhole placement pipe jointing sand surround haunching interlock reinstatement and taking corrective action where needed.
- Coordinating manual lifting handling of materials and assisting with crane operations during GRP manhole placement ensuring the work area is safe and clear.
- Raising site queries observations to the Project Engineer and supporting preparation of WIRs MIRs for Consultant inspection.
- Enforcing use of PPE and safe working practices among all labor under supervision in coordination with the Safety Officer.
- Maintaining daily site records progress reports and material consumption logs.
- Supporting testing and commissioning activities including preparing the work area and coordinating with the MEP Coordinator manufacturer s specialist.
- Assisting in compiling close‑out documentation as-built records checklists test reports under guidance from the Project Engineer.
- Maintaining good housekeeping and site cleanliness at all times.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification)
- Minimum 4–6 years' site experience in civil/infrastructure works, preferably including sewerage, drainage, or pipeline works.
- Demonstrated experience combining hands‑on foreman‑level labor supervision with basic engineering/technical responsibilities on site.
- Prior experience with uPVC pipe installation, precast/GRP chamber placement, trench excavation and back filling strongly preferred.
- Exposure to UAE construction sites and familiarity with local site practices/standards preferred.
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality (DM) standards is an advantage.
- Practical, hands‑on knowledge of pipe‑laying, excavation, and chamber installation work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical/construction drawings independently.
- Basic understanding of quality/inspection documentation (WIR/MIR, checklists, daily reports).
- Strong leadership and man‑management skills to directly supervise labor gangs.
- Good communication and coordination skills to liaise with the Project Engineer, Safety Officer, and other trades on site.
- Strong safety awareness, particularly around excavation, manual handling, and lifting operations.
- Basic computer literacy for maintaining site records/logs (MS Excel/Word).
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in a live construction environment.
- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
- Willing to relocate to / work at project site full‑time.
