The Technical Coordinator

Joinery manages the technical documentation submittal and RFI workflows for joinery projects, acting as the central coordination point between the design team, workshop, site, consultant and client. This role ensures timely and accurate delivery of technical information to support uninterrupted project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation, submission and tracking of all joinery shop drawings, material submittals, sample approvals and mock‑up sign‑offs.
  • Coordinate the RFI (Request for Information) process: prepare, distribute, track and ensure timely resolution of all technical queries.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, architects and interior designers to obtain drawing and material approvals within programme timelines.
  • Maintain and update the technical drawing register, submittal log and RFI tracker for all active projects.
  • Coordinate between the Draftsman, Project Engineer and workshop to ensure drawings are production‑ready and approved before fabrication commences.
  • Review shop drawings for completeness and compliance with contract specifications before submission.
  • Prepare technical reports, transmittals and meeting minutes for all technical coordination meetings.
  • Support the Project Manager with technical risk identification and resolution.
  • Manage document control processes in compliance with project and company standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Civil Engineering.
  • 5–9 years of technical coordination experience in UAE/GCC joinery, fit‑out, or interior contracting.
  • Strong understanding of joinery fabrication and installation processes and drawing production workflows.
  • Proficiency in document management systems (Aconex, Procore, or equivalent) and MS Office.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and multi‑tasking skills; comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
