Specialist Consultant Medical Oncologist - American Board

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Specialist / Consultant Medical Oncologist with American Board certification to provide comprehensive, evidence-based cancer care. The physician will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of patients with a wide range of solid tumours and haematological malignancies, working closely with multidisciplinary oncology teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive medical oncology consultations and cancer care.
- Assess, diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans for oncology patients.
- Manage patients receiving systemic anti-cancer therapies, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and hormonal therapy, within approved clinical privileges.
- Review and interpret relevant laboratory, pathology and imaging results.
- Monitor treatment response, toxicity and disease progression.
- Provide appropriate supportive and palliative care.
- Coordinate care with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Discuss diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis and follow-up plans with patients and families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumour boards and clinical case discussions.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
- Follow evidence-based oncology guidelines and established clinical protocols.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, patient safety and research activities where applicable.
- Maintain professional competence through continuing medical education and CPD.
- Medical degree (MD, MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- American Board Certification in Medical Oncology / Hematology & Medical Oncology or an applicable recognized American Board qualification.
- Relevant specialist/consultant-level clinical experience.
- Eligible for or holding a valid UAE Specialist / Consultant Medical Oncology licence, subject to applicable health authority requirements.
- Current professional registration and Good Standing Certificate.
- Primary Source Verification and credentialing documentation as required by the relevant UAE health authority.
- Current BLS certification; additional certifications as required by the facility.
- Strong clinical, diagnostic and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication and patient‑centred care skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based oncology practice, clinical governance and patient safety.
- Fluency in English;
Arabic or other languages are an advantage. - Qualified international doctors who meet the above qualifications and UAE licensing requirements are encouraged to apply.
