Librarian - English Speaking (Egyptian) - Sharjah, UAE

Our library in Sharjah, UAE is seeking an experienced Librarian who is fluent in English and holds Egyptian nationality. You will be responsible for managing the library's resources and providing assistance to students and staff members.

• Develop and maintain library collections by selecting, cataloguing, and classifying books and other materials
• Assist students with finding books, reference materials, and online resources
• Provide research assistance to students and staff members
• Organize library events such as book clubs or author talks
• Promote the library s resources and services to increase usage among students
• Handle the circulation of materials by checking books in/out, collecting fines, and maintaining accurate records
• Train and supervise student workers or volunteers in daily tasks such as shelving books or processing new materials
• Maintain the physical appearance of the library by shelving books, organizing displays, and ensuring cleanliness

• Bachelor s degree in Library Science or a related field
• Previous experience working as a librarian or in a similar role
• Fluency in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
• Egyptian nationality preferred
• Familiarity with library systems and databases
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to assist diverse individuals
• Ability to multitask and work independently
• Strong organizational skills
• Flexibility to work some evenings/weekends for special events
