Grade 1 Teacher

The Role:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Grade 1 Teacher who can create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of our students while fostering a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate and engaging Grade 1 curriculum aligned with the American Common Core Standards.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes student well-being, confidence, and independence.
• Utilise adaptive teaching methods to meet the needs of your students.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student development.
• Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and inform instruction.
• Integrate technology into teaching to enhance student learning experiences

Qualifications and

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification/licensure from a recognized authority.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in a Grade 1 or lower primary setting.
• Experience with the American curriculum and Common Core Standards is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
