The College of Law at Kalba University seeks to appoint a full‑time faculty member to teach courses in Islamic Sharia. We invite candidates who possess strong academic qualifications, relevant professional experience, and demonstrated ability in teaching and scholarly research in Islamic Sharia (Islamic Jurisprudence – Fiqh) to submit their applications through the attached link.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Islamic Sharia courses to undergraduate law students.
  • Employ innovative and effective teaching methods to engage and inspire students.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and improvement within the department.
  • Engage in professional participation with relevant professional institutions.
  • Provide academic advising and guidance to students.
  • Contribute to departmental and university service through committee participation, academic advising, and other activities.
  • Adhere to confidentiality and other ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives and participate in community outreach.
  • Commit to continuous professional development and staying current with advancements in the relevant field.

Research Record:
Applicants must possess a strong research record, demonstrated through publications in reputable, peer‑reviewed journals indexed in the Scopus database. Applicants are also required to have an appropriate H‑index reflecting significant scholarly impact and contributions in the field of Islamic Sharia/Fiqh.

Qualifications
  • A PhD in Islamic Sharia with a specialization in Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh and its Principles).
  • Research experience demonstrated through publications in reputable academic journals.
  • Teaching experience in Introduction to Islamic Jurisprudence, Family Law (Marriage and Divorce), Inheritance and Wills, and Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete assigned tasks within designated timelines.
