Job PurposeThe Department of International Relations, College of Public Policy, seeks qualified candidates to teach full-time undergraduate and graduate courses in International Relations
, commencing in Fall Semester 2026/2027.
The ideal candidate will be expected to support teaching, research, and academic advising activities in line with departmental and college requirements.
Responsibilities- Develop and teach undergraduate and master's level courses in one or more of the following areas:
International Relations Theory, International Political Economy, Foreign Policy Analysis, International Security, International Organizations, Global Governance, International Law and Ethics, Regional Studies, and other IR sub-fields as required. - Demonstrate strong research potential and scholarly output.
- Provide academic advising to undergraduate and graduate students.
- Supervise postgraduate theses under departmental supervision and guidelines.
- Participate in program, department, and college activities and events.
- Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness and disciplinary expertise.
- Serve on faculty committees as appointed.
- Contribute to community engagement, policy dialogue, and outreach activities as assigned by the Department Chair or College Dean.
Applicants must hold a PhD in International Relations, Political Science, or a closely related field
, with demonstrated academic potential. Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Effective teaching skills.
- Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate International Relations courses.
- Emerging research and publication record.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills with students.
- Commitment to supporting students in a diverse and multicultural academic environment.
