Essential Requirements
  • Experience delivering outdoor education, adventure activities, residential camps, or experiential learning programmes.
  • Experience working with schools, children, young people, or educational groups.
  • Ability to confidently lead groups and maintain participant engagement across a variety of activities and environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with participants, teachers, colleagues, and guests.
  • Good understanding of risk management, participant welfare, and safe activity delivery practices.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and respond effectively to changing situations during programme delivery.
  • Relevant First Aid qualification.
  • Professional, reliable, and able to maintain high standards of behaviour, presentation, and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while contributing positively to programme delivery and participant experience.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and able to maintain a positive attitude in dynamic outdoor environments.
Desirable Requirements
  • Full UAE driving licence or ability to obtain one.
  • Relevant technical outdoor qualifications appropriate to the activities being delivered.
  • Experience delivering residential, multi‑day, or expedition‑style programmes.
  • Experience working within remote wilderness or expedition‑based environments.
  • Experience supporting the training or mentoring of junior instructors or volunteers.
  • Experience delivering a variety of outdoor activities such as climbing, watersports, trekking, field studies, team‑building, or environmental education programmes.
  • Additional qualifications in outdoor leadership, safeguarding, coaching, or activity instruction.
Role Purpose

To deliver safe, engaging, and professional activities and programmes in line with company standards, SOPs, and programme objectives. Instructors are responsible for direct group management, participant experience, and maintaining high standards of delivery throughout programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Activity Delivery & Group Management:
  • Delivers activities and sessions safely, effectively, and in line with programme plans, SOPs, and instructor briefings.
  • Maintains strong group control and participant engagement throughout sessions, adapting delivery appropriately to the needs, behaviour, and ability of the group.

    Experience:
  • Creates a positive, supportive, and professional environment for participants, schools, and visiting staff through strong communication, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
  • Supports programme flow and contributes to an enjoyable and well‑organised experience for all groups.
  • Safety & Operational Responsibility:
  • Applies risk assessments, SOPs, and dynamic risk management principles during delivery.
  • Responds appropriately to changing conditions, participant needs, and operational challenges.
  • Reports incidents, near misses, equipment issues, and operational concerns promptly and in line with company procedures.
  • Equipment & Site Responsibility:
  • Uses equipment correctly and helps ensure that equipment, activity areas, accommodation areas, and operational spaces are kept clean, organised, and ready for use.
  • Supports the setup, pack‑down, and smooth operation of programmes and activities.
  • Teamwork & Professional Standards:
  • Works collaboratively with instructors, Senior Instructors, and management staff to support safe and effective programme delivery.
  • Maintains professional standards of behaviour, presentation, punctuality, and communication at all times.
  • Authority & Decision‑Making:
  • The Instructor is responsible for leading groups during activities and programme sessions, making sound real‑time decisions relating to participant management and immediate safety.
  • They are expected to adapt activity delivery where required in accordance with company SOPs and the guidance of Senior Instructors while promptly escalating any operational, safety, welfare, or behavioural concerns to Senior Instructors or management staff.
