Lecturer– Business Analytics and Data Visualization Job Description

The University of Kalba seeks a qualified and motivated faculty member in Business Analytics and Data Visualization to join its College of Business Administration
. The successful candidate will contribute actively to teaching, research, and service aligned with the University’s mission to foster innovation, applied learning, and engagement with industry and community partners.

• Teach undergraduate courses in Business Analytics, Data Visualization, Data Management, and related areas.
• Develop, update, and maintain course syllabi consistent with accreditation standards and program outcomes.
• Supervise student projects and support experiential learning using analytics software and visualization tools.
• Contribute to the review, development, and enhancement of the management curriculum, ensuring alignment with contemporary academic and industry trends.
• Conduct, publish, and disseminate high-quality scholarly research in the candidate’s area of specialization.
• Apply and demonstrate sound knowledge of research methodologies in both teaching and scholarly work.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research projects and seek external research funding where appropriate.
• Participate in academic advising, student mentoring, and supervision of research projects.
• Represent the University of Kalba in national and international conferences, academic forums, and professional associations.
• Foster engagement with industry and community partners to support student internships and professional development opportunities.
• Contribute to college and university service, including committee work and governance activities.
• Engage in outreach initiatives that support the university’s mission and enhance its societal impact.

• Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field from an accredited institution (A Ph.D. is strongly preferred and required for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.).
• A strong and ongoing research and publication record in reputable, peer-reviewed academic journals.
• Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies (for Ph.D. holders).
• Minimum of two years of university-level teaching or industry experience in business analytics, data visualization, or data-driven decision-making.
• Demonstrated proficiency in analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SPSS, Python, or R.
• Evidence of scholarly activity or practical projects in analytics and visualization is desirable.
