About the school

This is a well‑established, purpose‑built international school on the border of Sharjah and Dubai, offering education from the Early Learning Centre through to Grade 12. Founded in 2007, the school was born from a unique partnership aimed at bringing world‑class education to the UAE, and that ambition is evident in everything it does.

The school follows the Victorian Australian Curriculum across its primary and middle years, supplemented by Arabic, Islamic Studies, and UAE Social Studies in line with Ministry of Education requirements. In the senior years (Grades 11 and 12), students are prepared for the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), equipping them with the academic rigour needed for leading universities worldwide.

The school’s vision is to develop students who are critical thinkers, confident, reflective, and responsible global citizens. Design Technology sits firmly within this philosophy — it is a valued curriculum area where students are encouraged to solve real‑world problems through creative thinking, practical skill, and innovative design. The department benefits from well‑resourced facilities and a whole‑school commitment to nurturing the designers and engineers of tomorrow.

Who

will thrive here?

This school will particularly suit teachers who are collaborative, enthusiastic practitioners with a genuine love for Design Technology and its capacity to inspire creative problem‑solving. You will thrive here if you are student‑centred in your approach, embrace a culture of continuous professional growth, and are energised by working within a diverse, international community. Teachers who bring initiative and warmth to their classrooms, who are equally comfortable teaching across the breadth of Grades 6 to 12, and who are genuinely committed to preparing young people for life beyond school, will find this an exceptionally rewarding place to work.

The city is renowned for its family‑friendly atmosphere, affordable cost of living relative to its neighbours, and a genuine sense of community.

Dubai is just a short drive away, offering access to international airports, fine dining, beaches, and leisure facilities. The UAE’s warm climate, cosmopolitan culture, and outstanding infrastructure make it one of the most sought‑after destinations for international educators.
