• A recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or a US State Teaching Licence
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a relevant subject area
• Demonstrable experience teaching within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
• Experience supporting or leading the PYP Exhibition would be a distinct advantage

• Strong curriculum planning and assessment skills within a PYP context
• Excellent classroom management and the ability to differentiate effectively for a range of learners
• A collaborative approach to planning and professional development
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging with students, families, and colleagues
• A commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional learning
• Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with students from diverse cultural backgrounds

• Understand and adhere to international best practice in child protection and safeguarding
• Maintain professional boundaries and model positive, respectful relationships with students at all times
• Be vigilant in identifying and responding appropriately to any welfare concerns
• Complete all required safeguarding training as directed by the school
• Understand duty to report concerns through the correct channels, both within the school and to external agencies if necessary
• Contribute to a culture where students feel safe, heard, and valued
