Regular or Visiting Faculty Computer Science and Engineering

Overview

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in the College of Engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for visiting and regular faculty positions at the assistant, associate or full professor level starting in Fall 2027.

Visiting faculty positions are primarily focused on teaching. Regular faculty positions are expected to establish high‑level, active research programs supported by internal and external funding sources.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Develop and deliver effective teaching materials and assessments.
• For regular faculty: design and conduct research projects, secure internal and external funding, and publish scholarly work.

• PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Evidence of a significant teaching portfolio.
• Excellent teaching and research skills.
• Experience with the American model of higher education is highly desirable.
