Position: Visiting Faculty (2027) | Electrical Engineering

Overview

The Department of Electrical Engineering (ELE) in the College of Engineering at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for a Visiting faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level, commencing in Fall 2027. The position is primarily focused on teaching and is a one-year renewable contract. The position is open to all areas of Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical Engineering as assigned.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and student advising as appropriate.
  • Engage in scholarly activity and collaboration with faculty.
Qualifications
  • PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Ability to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Excellence in teaching and research; experience with the American model of higher education is desirable.
