Librarian (English Speaking)

We are seeking an experienced Librarian to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library resources, providing research assistance to library patrons, and promoting library services to the community.

• Manage the acquisition, organization, and cataloging of library materials such as books, journals, and digital resources
• Develop and maintain a user-friendly system for locating library materials
• Provide research assistance to library patrons by helping them find relevant information and resources
• Promote library services and resources through outreach activities such as workshops and events
• Train and supervise library staff in day-to-day operations
• Keep up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the field of librarianship

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Librarian in an English-speaking environment
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of cataloging systems and online databases
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong customer service skills
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends when needed
