Librarian (Malayalees Preferred) in Sharjah

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Librarian to join our team in Sharjah. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our library collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and overseeing the daily operations of the library.

• Organize and maintain library materials, including books, journals, magazines, and multimedia resources
• Create catalog records for new items and update existing records in the library system
• Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide reference services
• Plan and organize library events, such as workshops, book clubs, and author visits
• Train other staff members on library procedures and systems
• Oversee the circulation of materials, including checking out and returning items
• Ensure that the library space is clean, organized, and welcoming for patrons
• Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum needs of students

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
• Proficient in using library management systems and online databases
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

This position offers a salary of 1600$ per month.

This position is based in Sharjah. Malayalees are preferred for this role.
