Librarian job in Sharjah UAE for foreigners responsibilities, and qualifications.

We are looking for a highly organized Librarian to join our team  successful candidate should be a team player and possess excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to work independently. This position offers a competitive salary of 1200/month. We are open to considering an immigrant for this role.

• Cataloging library materials (books, magazines, audio visual, etc.)
• Ensuring library materials are properly shelved and maintained
• Maintaining accurate records of library materials
• Assisting patrons in locating material in the library
• Recommending books and other materials for library patrons
• Providing reference services
• Developing and conducting library programs such as storytime sessions or book clubs
• Preparing catalogs, indexes, and other finding aids to library materials
• Developing and maintaining the library’s website and social media presence

• Bachelor Degree in Library Science or related field is preferred
• Experience in working with computers, database software, email systems & internet search engines is preferred
• Excellent customer service skills with an ability to be patient at all times when dealing with patrons
• Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
