Part‑Time Librarian

We are seeking a part‑time Librarian to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for organizing and managing our library resources, providing excellent customer service to library patrons, and promoting literacy and reading culture.

• Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, magazines, newspapers, and other materials
• Assist library patrons with finding resources and checking out materials
• Answer reference questions and provide information on library policies and procedures
• Plan and conduct library programs and events to promote reading culture and literacy
• Create displays and exhibits to highlight different resources and themes
• Catalog new materials using the appropriate classification system
• Monitor the condition of books and other materials, making recommendations for repair or replacement when necessary

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (or currently pursuing)
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a library setting
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Familiarity with different classification systems (Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress)
• Must have own visa (no sponsorship provided)
