We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Sharjah. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the library and providing library services to patrons of all ages.

• Manage library operations, including cataloging, circulation, and shelving of materials.
• Maintain the library’s collection by selecting, ordering, cataloging, and processing new materials as needed.
• Help patrons locate information by searching electronic databases and other sources of relevant information.
• Prepare and maintain lists of recommended reading materials.
• Develop programs to promote the use of the library's resources among patrons of all ages.
• Assist patrons with reference questions and provide guidance in locating books or other materials they require.
• Provide instruction in basic research techniques to patrons who need assistance.
• Train volunteers or student assistants in the use of library systems or services.
• Keep up-to-date on developments in library technology and best practices for librarianship.

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field.
• Knowledge of current trends in librarianship and best practices for library management.
• Experience working with a variety of software programs related to the field (e.g., cataloging software).
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people from many different backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with minimal supervision.
