A multicultural library in Sharjah, UAE is seeking a dedicated and experienced Librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature and knowledge, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Manage library collections and maintain accurate records of all materials
• Assist patrons in finding and accessing resources
• Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and schools to promote the library's services
• Plan and coordinate events, workshops, and book clubs to engage the community
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new releases, and best practices in library management
• Train and supervise library staff, volunteers, and interns
• Ensure the library is clean, organized, and welcoming for all visitors
• Implement policies to ensure the safety of library materials and equipment

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science or related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience working as a librarian or in a similar role
• Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)
• Knowledge of cataloging systems and online databases
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of multicultural literature preferred
