Librarian - Part-Time English Speaking with Accommodation in Sharjah, UAE

We are seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Sharjah. As a part-time Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and maintaining the organization of the library.

• Manage and maintain library collection by cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
• Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries, providing guidance on how to use library resources effectively
• Promote library programs and services to increase patron usage
• Maintain a clean and organized library space, including shelves, tables, and seating areas
• Monitor inventory levels of library supplies and place orders as needed
• Collaborate with other librarians to develop new programs or services that meet the needs of the community
• Stay up-to-date with current trends in librarianship and continuously improve skills through professional development opportunities

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
• Previous experience working in a library setting is preferred but not required
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist patrons of all ages and backgrounds
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

Preference will be given to candidates who hold a biometric passport from an African country. Accommodation will also be provided for the successful candidate.
