Librarian for English-Speaking Contract Position in Sharjah, UAE

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Sharjah, UAE on a contract basis. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials. This position is open to candidates of Pakistani or Malayalee nationality who are proficient in English.

• Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials.
• Catalogue new materials and ensure accurate record keeping.
• Assist library patrons in finding resources and provide recommendations.
• Develop and implement programs to promote the use of the library.
• Train and supervise library assistants.
• Manage budget for purchasing new materials.
• Stay updated on current trends in library science.

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
• Prior experience working as a librarian preferred.
• Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of cataloging systems and database management.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
