Librarian - Part Time (Sharjah, UAE)

A reputable library in Sharjah is seeking a part-time Librarian to join their team. This position is open to all nationalities, with no English language requirement. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and knowledge, and possess excellent organizational skills.

• Manage the library's collection of books and other materials
• Help patrons locate resources and provide assistance with research
• Organize and classify materials according to library standards
• Maintain the library's cataloging system and ensure accuracy of records
• Assist with budget management and purchasing of new materials
• Develop and implement programs to promote literacy and reading in the community
• Train and supervise library assistants

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
• Experience working in a library or similar setting preferred
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
• Proficiency in using library software systems
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: 1400$ per month for 20 hours per week.
