We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Librarian to join our team in Sharjah. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and to be part of a supportive team that encourages learning and growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing library collections, assisting patrons with research, and helping develop the library's collections.

The primary responsibility of the Librarian is to provide efficient access to library materials, both in person and online, to ensure that patrons have access to necessary resources for their research needs. The Librarian will also assist patrons with locating information or providing reference services as needed. Additionally, they will be responsible for organizing library collections, cataloging new materials, managing inventory of existing materials, and maintaining digital databases of library holdings.

Finally, the Librarian will assist in developing the collections by selecting materials for purchase based on patron requests or needs identified through research or other sources.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills along with superior customer service capabilities. They should also have strong communication skills as well as an understanding of digital media and computer applications related to libraries. A bachelor's degree in Library Science is preferred but we are also willing to consider applicants with no experience if they demonstrate a commitment to learning and a passion for libraries and librarianship.

Additionally, fluency in English is mandatory for this role while proficiency in other languages is beneficial but not required.

This position offers a salary of 1100 AED per month with potential for growth within our organization depending on performance. We are open to considering an immigrant applicant should they meet the criteria outlined above.
