Librarian (Pakistani Candidates)

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Sharjah. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library’s collection, assisting patrons with their information needs, and promoting library services. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills in English and be able to work independently. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1000$ per month.

• Maintain and organize the library’s collection of books, periodicals, and other materials
• Assist patrons with locating and borrowing materials
• Provide reference services to help patrons find information
• Promote library services through outreach programs and events
• Manage circulation activities such as checking materials in/out, issuing library cards, and collecting fines/fees
• Catalog new materials using standard classification systems
• Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations to enhance the library’s resources

• Pakistani nationality preferred
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field preferred
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Previous experience working in a library or similar setting is an asset but not required
