Librarian for Women's Library in Sharjah, UAE

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Librarian to manage our Women's Library in Sharjah, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the library's collection, providing research assistance to users, and promoting the library's resources to the community.

• Catalogue new materials and maintain accurate records of the library's collection
• Assist users with research inquiries and provide recommendations for relevant resources
• Plan and implement educational programs and events to promote the library's services
• Develop partnerships with local organizations to enhance the library's collection and services
• Train and supervise library staff members on proper procedures for managing materials and assisting users
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in technology for efficient library management

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Librarian in a similar setting
• Familiarity with biometric passports preferred but not required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, particularly when working with diverse groups of people
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Fluency in English is preferred but not required
