Librarian - Sharjah, UAE (Indian Nationals Preferred)
We are hiring a knowledgeable and organized Librarian to join our team in Sharjah. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and organizing events and programs to promote reading and literacy. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Library Science or a related field, as well as experience working in a library setting.

- Manage the library's collection by selecting, acquiring, cataloging, and processing materials
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries
- Develop and implement programs and activities to promote reading and literacy
- Maintain the library's physical space by organizing shelves and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment
- Train and supervise library staff, volunteers, or interns
- Collaborate with other departments or organizations to plan events or initiatives
- Stay updated on new technologies or resources relevant to the library field
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cataloging systems, research methods, databases, and information technology
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to assist patrons of all ages
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
