Librarian job vacancy in Sharjah UAE for unskilled worker
We are looking for a qualified Librarian to join our team in Sharjah. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the library, supervising library staff, and providing service to patrons.
The Librarian will be expected to maintain the library's collection of books, databases, and other materials. This includes cataloguing and classifying new materials, as well as helping patrons find resources. Additionally, the Librarian will be expected to ensure that all shelves are properly arranged and that all materials are up-to-date.
The Librarian will also be responsible for overseeing library staff members, such as Library Assistants and Clerks. This involves setting performance standards, assigning tasks, and monitoring workflow. The Librarian must also provide guidance on library policies and procedures to ensure that all staff members are working in accordance with established guidelines.
The successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills in order to provide assistance to patrons who may have questions or require help locating resources. The individual should have a good knowledge of current technology trends in order to maximize the efficiency of the library’s operations. Additionally, they should possess strong leadership qualities in order to effectively manage staff members and ensure smooth operations within the library.
We offer a competitive salary of 1400 AED per month for this position and we are willing to consider foreign candidates who meet the job requirements outlined above.
